Extremity Solutions, LLC was started in February 2002 to represent innovative orthopedic companies and their technology to surgeons in Indiana through knowledgeable and dedicated representation. We have been fortunate enough to successfully grow over the years as a support base for our surgeons, their staff and most importantly their patients. We have direct professionals all over the state and our daily focus is to have a representative in every case. The primary goal was to greatly enhance the overall surgical procedure and provide a better, functional experience for the patient.
Alafair Biosciences is a commercial-stage medical device company that produces VersaWrap® Tendon Protector. VersaWrap is an ultrathin, sutureless, bioresorbable hydrogel implant ideally suited for covering and protecting tendons. Specifically, by forming a permeable, gelatinous layer around the tendon, VersaWrap facilitates improved tendon gliding during healing. This layer reduces surface-to-surface friction and in doing so can aid in the reduction of inflammation typically observed in patients postoperatively.
Biopoly implants provide a simple yet effective solution for patients with painful cartilage defects often caused by trauma or early stages of osteoarthritis. Although BioPoly isn’t a cure for arthritis, it is used to replace damaged areas of the joint (i.e. knee, shoulder, etc.) much like filling potholes in paved roads. These implants can allow the patient to regain a more active, pain-free lifestyle.
